Evaluation.

In this evaluation i am going to be writing about my 3minute film piece that i have been creating and editing over the past few weeks.

My 3minute film i think has come out really well, the editing went just the way i wanted it to, i had no problems with it except a few minor parts where i didn't know what parts to have in or not but in the end i honestly think i have chosen the right way that i wanted it and now it is looking alot better than it did. I am happy with the result of my video and i hoping for a good grade.

My idea came from something i saw off youtube, from a band i am really into they showed them just in the studio recording one of there songs, i thought it was very good because the vocals that are shown from the vocalist are so powerful and it made me think thats how i want my video. But i changed it around because the band i am has not long been formed and i decided to record at our first band practice but it was alot different to the studio update i saw, but i really enjoyed recording this footage and how it came upon its self to work out.

Nothing really went wrong when i was recording just at parts i didnt know when to record. Because my vocals werent up to scratch as it was early in the morning and my throat wasnt too good from the night before, but still i got something done and i am happy with what i have recorded.

The editing went very well to be honest, i enjoyed editing my video. It was just good because i could put parts of the breakdowns or intro's in and it would sound good but i just chose two different parts because they were the best parts.

The only problem i had with the footage was how loud the studio was when performing which kinda made the sound a bit shabby and gruff but it was fine i edited reverb into the performance and it came it sounding pretty well.

I have basically finished my editing i have like two or three things left to add then my video shall be finished by the monday it is due in.

I am now currently just finishing off my blog entry's and also some of the outstanding paper work that is needed to be done.

I had just uploaded my footage ready for editing, i have edited little parts of but still needs to be edited alot to make it look better.

I need to cut up the whole 4-5minute song that we covered and just put random parts in while the parts are playing through, like right at the start where i introduce i might add a part of what instrument we all play.

Forgot to bring my camera in with the footage, but done some work on my blog filling out what i did on the sunday i filmed

First day filming, our first band practice. It was about 11 o'clock when we got there everyone was pretty tired as we had to be up very early. Buyt after about 30minutes of just jamming and getting up for it. We covered a song which i recorded for people to see.

Also i got some footage of the instruments for our first song, no vocals tho because i had no lyrics plus my throat didnt feel amazing as it was too early. but i still got enough footage to make a video documentary from it.

All i need to do now is put some interviews in the video then i will have it finished. then i can start editing.

Film Idea.

I am going to be making a documentary of the forming of my new band. The video will feature us practicing, little interviews of them about the music and maybe a song to show or part of one.

We are a metalcore band, which will be shown in the footage that is going to be captured.

I am going to be showing a mix of shots, examples will be like shots of us just chilling and jamming thinking of new lyrics, riffs and drum beats and also there will us like practicing e.g showing my vocals and my friend drumming.
